During September in 2017 between May in 2018, Jiuhuashan Geopark carried out regional plant diversity research, mainly researched the vegetative inventory, fauna, and community types of vegetation in geoparks, drew geopark plant map.

The research has 9 different lines, according to the field research and literature analysis there are 1528 vegetative inventory, which belong to 175 families 727 genera, took 1864 photos, made 62 samples.

According to the research, the distribution of plants in Jiuhuashan has the following characteristics: on the horizontal direction, below 650 meters sea level, the fragmentation of vegetation community is high; above 650 meters sea level, the community is along the mountains from south to north.
